Short version: Gulf Coast Repair Men is a matching service, free for homeowners. We are not a contractor. Any work, including its price and payment, is between you and the independent pro you choose, so check licenses, insurance and references before you hire.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of GulfCoastRepairMen.com and related services (the "Site"), operated by Gulf Coast Repair Men of League City, Texas ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Site or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
2. What we do and don't do
- We provide a service, free to homeowners, that connects homeowners and other property occupants with independent home-service providers ("Providers"). Providers, not us, set and collect the price of any repair or service work.
- We are not a contractor. We do not perform, supervise, inspect or guarantee any repair or service work, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a Provider.
- Providers are independent businesses, not our employees, agents or partners. Providers may pay us a fee for referrals.
- We aim to match you with licensed, local Providers, but we do not guarantee that any Provider is licensed, insured, qualified or available, or that you will be matched at all.
3. Your responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old to submit a request.
- Provide accurate information and only submit a phone number that you own or are authorized to use.
- Before hiring anyone, do your own checks: verify licenses where required (for example, through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation or the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners), ask for proof of insurance, get written estimates and check references.
- Don't misuse the Site, such as by submitting false requests, attempting to gain unauthorized access, or interfering with its operation.
4. Consent to be contacted
When you check the consent box and submit a request, you agree that Gulf Coast Repair Men and up to 3 independent Providers it matches you with may contact you about your request at the number provided, including by calls and texts using automated technology or prerecorded messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts. You may revoke consent at any reasonable time and by any reasonable means, including by replying STOP, telling a caller, or emailing Marc@txcontractorsolutions.com.
5. Fees
Our matching service is free for homeowners. Any price for repair or service work is set by, and paid directly to, the Provider you choose.
6. Disclaimers
The Site and our services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, work quality, pricing, timeliness, licensing, insurance or conduct of any Provider. Information on the Site is general and is not professional advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gulf Coast Repair Men and its owner, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any damages arising from services performed (or not performed) by a Provider. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gulf Coast Repair Men and its owner from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or information you submit that you did not have the right to submit (for example, someone else's phone number).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Galveston County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
